Brazilian license extended to 2020

PET Managing Director, Mr Robert Schuitema, visited Brazil last week to meet with our Brazilian licensee , Hidroscience. He was accompanied by PET General Manager of International Sales, Mr Nigel Traill.

Whilst in Brazil, Mr Schuitema and Mr Traill spent a number of days with HidroScience Managing Director, Mr Tiago Finkler Ferreira, visiting several project sites and discussing strategy for the coming year.

HidroScience has been PET’s licensee in Brazil since 2011. During this period, the company has built a respected limnological consultancy and lake application business.

During the visit, PET and HidroScience signed a two year extension of the Phoslock license until June 2020. In the last license period (July 2016 to June 2018) Hidroscience purchased over 1,100 tons of Phoslock.

Hidroscience currently has four ongoing projects in which large quantities of Phoslock are being applied. Additional projects are likely to be added in the coming year.

Under the license extension, Hidroscience has undertaken to purchase a minimum of 800 tons of Phoslock, however expects to significantly exceed this.
